RUSS COCHRAN - the Godfather of comic art collecting

I see that RUSS COCHRAN is among the newest members on the CGC.

I bought my first piece of artwork through the mail from his 1970s catalog- it was an Alex Raymond piece.

I can't think of any other person who would get the title of godfather for modern

comic art collecting from his illustrated catalogs, repping Frazetta/Barks, auctioning the Gaines EC art, etc.

Looking forward to his auction ending later today... this should be the first where it does not run it alongside ebay's live auctions.

Much praise to Russ,

I agree. Glad to see that he landed on his feet and is back with the auctions. He has deep roots in this hobby.
