I have noticed that also. I think there has also been a thread about it in the past. Avengers #4 and Daredevil #1 are two of my favorite SA books, and I've seen a lot copies with lesser PQ and brighter covers. I personally will take the White cover and lesser PQ over a dingy looking cover and decent PQ.

It has a tear about 1/2" on the top edge of the front cover. You can see it just entering the top of "V".

 

It's also had a third staple removed from the middle of the spine. I imagine that is the big defect besides the tear and general wear.
