Nice. Hopefully the thread will take off, but new editions to people's collections may be slow.

Here's the raggedy 30-center that led me to wind up with that MSA#3!

Strangely enough, MTU #58 & 58 are the only 35 cent variants I have. And I found them both here in Greece! :o

Here's a neat one that I found in a huge run of VF to NM ASM comics. A nice surprise to say the least.

Here's the final one I needed to complete the Amazing Spider-Man set. Got it from an eBay store for a very good price.

Here's the final one I needed to complete the Amazing Spider-Man set.

I have multiples of all the other issues, but for some reason, never came across a 169. One set I bought as BIN's straight from 170-173, but he never listed a 169.

Yeah, I've been tracking sales of the ASM for the past 4 years. My take is:

Rarest: 170

Followed closely by:169

Next: 173

Most Common:172, 171

Very similar to the number of CGC graded copies of each issue.

In my experience, ASM 171 is by far the most common variant in that run.

I heard mention a couple of people thought the ASM 169 was the rarest. I would imagine it very close between 169 and 170. Agree, seems like I see 171 quite a bit.

My coolest was the 173, as my brother bought it off the stands for me in Memphis, TN.

I've been having a lot of fun and some good luck recently in picking up a number of Marvel Direct Edition/Whitman variants. Here they come!
