FS: Lots (SA/BA, Marvel & DC, Digests, etc.) + mags, fanzines, more! REDUCED!

40 posts in this topic

Hey all...here's a Sunday-night hodge-podge thread: big lots, magazines & fanzines, strip reprint collections, digests, freebies, and more! Some of this material was published post-1980, but all of it should be of interest primarily to SA and BA collectors (like me!), so I hope the mods will allow me to keep it here in the GA/SA/BA forum, rather than split it up.

Comic Book Artist magazine lot: CBA (from Twomorrows) is easily THE best fanzine/prozine published since the heyday of fandom in the '60s and '70s. These early issues (from the late '90s/early '00s) are exuberant, first-rate work: FAT mags jammed with unpublished artwork, interviews, rare behind-the-scenes pics from back in the day, sketchbook sections, and more! A MUST read for Bronze Age collectors!

This lot contains the following early issues (all first prints), most of which are currently out-of-print (NOTE: CBA #1 - 6 are flipbooks with Roy Thomas's pioneering "Alter Ego" fanzine on the other side):

#1 - DC 1967 - 1974. Adams!

#2 - Marvel 1970 - 1977.

#3 - Adams at Marvel!

#4 - Hard to find Warren issue!

#5 - More BA DC - Cardy.

#6 - More BA Marvel - Cockrum, Brunner, etc.

#7 - Gulacy.

#9 - Charlton (SA).

#12 - Charlton (BA).

#13 - BA Marvel Horror!

#14 - Wood, Tower.

#18 - Cosmic Marvel - Starlin!

#22 - Gold Key.

#1 (2003) - Squarebound relaunch; fantastic Adams cover and feature story!

All copies are unread VF/NM to NM or better!

$75 shipped in the US.

NOW $70 shipped in the US!

:news: The following oddball items are FREE with purchase of the Comic Book Artist lot:

- A few cool old dealer catalogs...

- Two stapled collections of GA reprint comics (from Greg Theakston I think, late '90s or early '00s)...some great artwork in these: Frazetta, Ditko, Lou Fine, etc.

and...

- A laser printed copy of Marvel's mimeographed "for sale" list (from the mid/late '60s, when they still sold back issues directly out of their NY offices).
