Agreed.  The ASM #113 cover is a drawing of a pinned photograph, and #115 is an oval picture frame.  :sumo:

I'm pretty sure CGC would add those 2 books to the set if asked. Way back when the the set was first created, I provided the list that was floating around here. I think George (JiveTurkeyMoFo), made the list possibly with input from others like JC.

I wouldn't want to ask for the change unless enough PF collectors want it. And it's not like the fate of the planet depends on the accuracy of the Picture Frame Marvel set in the CGC Registry. Though maybe it does...

They all look sweet from here, Joe. What do you think the grades are?

MGC 34 should be 9.4/9.6

COTL 19 should be 9.6/9.8

Li'l Kids 1 should be 9.0 ish maybe better if I get a back cover stain removed.

MTA 4 should be 9.2/9.4

I'm not sure these match all your criteria, but I think these are the rest of the PFs with green backgrounds.

I watched this auction last night on ComicLink and it prompted me to wonder what the highest dollar amount a Marvel Picture Frame has sold for (either at auction or a private sale).  This seemed pretty strong to me @ $4,205.  Paul~

According to GPAnalysis $4205 has been topped by a few sales of Marvel Spotlight #5, Hero For Hire #1, Avengers #93, and Marvel Premiere #1.  Believe it or not, there's a recorded sale of a cgc 9.8 Spotlight #5 for $48,500.  A Hero For Hire #1 sale has been recorded at $24,000.

Still, I was also watching the auctions last night and was surprised at what the first Furry Beast sold for.

The cover to Spoof #2 always bothered me, and not just for the crude stereotypes it portrayed.  Marvel flat-out stole the design for the logo art at the top left from R. Crumb's famous/notorious 1969 cover to his Fritz the Cat compilation book.  Except, to keep their comic in line for comics code approval, they cleaned up the scene by moving the dude's right hand.  It was a reminder back in '72 that if you were a teenager and wanted your comics uncensored in dealing with the real matters of being a teen, you had to go to the Undergrounds.
