Uh... not quite, joey. GT got that one.

(check the image you quoted, My Friend.) hm

Oh, please. We're guessing PF covers. That's like giving somebody a failing grade on their thesis for one punctuation error.

No harm no foul, GT. I think we're back on track. ;)

Journey Into Mystery 1

Hmmm... I figured that was gonna be the toughest one to get so more clues were in the queue

and ready to go. Guess they won't be needed now.

Nice job, Ken. (thumbs u

Okay Folks... Time for a Bonus Round.

The below ad was taken from Journey into Mystery #1 and the books advertised, including

JIM#1, all have a cover date of October 1972.

That said -- Can you tell what's wrong with this Picture?

Somebody changed "Death' Wears An Iron Mask!" to "'Death" Cry the Angels from Hell!" on the Spotlight #6.

What's Wrong With This Picture?

Marvel Spotlight #6

1. Yup... that's right, GT. The cover's title caption changed from the seemingly boring to a

provocative pronouncement. (Thanks to the expletive, no doubt.)

2. The illustrations for Ghost Rider and his opponent, who appear to be engaged in a deadly

game of chicken, were modified slightly prior to printing. In the advertisement copy the

cover presents the riders in a somewhat ordinary fashion, like they're out for a casual

Sunday stroll. While the final reworked copy, with a subtle change to upper body and arm

positioning, denotes a feeling of dramatic impending action. (These guys really mean business now!)

Hero for Hire #3

1. A mix-up with the placement of title caption stats was caught before green lighting the

printing press. "Hey, Knucklehead... Swap Game and Name before sending that book to

Eastern Color!" (The Bullpen production staff earned their pay that day!)

I recently took a deep dive into the MC personal collection and surfaced with the following...

(These books haven't seen the light of day in 20+ years)

Great-looking books. This and the Avengers 93 I posted a few pages back are my favourites in the Kree-Skrull War storyline run. Brilliant artwork.

I'll see if I can post a scan of my issue 96, 9.4, White pager sometime.
