Were you here for the great "Weird War Tales" cover poll ?  that  @thirdgreenham put on a couple years ago , ??

all the issue were voted on and eliminated until it was narrowed down to the final four then the final two ....

for the life of me i can't remember which cover was voted the best though  ????

if you can use the search function and find the thread (if it is still around since the new boards migrated) i think you would enjoy reading it !!

it was so much fun !!

That was before I joined, but I just read through the posts and now wonder how I would have voted hm

Recent holiday travels to Bama led to these finds. There are a couple of LCS buys in there but the majority were antique mall acquisitions. Bin of moderns (mostly DC) were from a gent that we met while buying comics at an estate sale.

Happy Holidays and Hunting to All!

Went to a yard sale Friday AM. They told me that unfortunately something came up and that they could not open until tomorrow. Came back this morning and dug through a bunch of books and magazines. Seller ended up giving me a number to just take everything. I'm still going through the full suitcase of books. Some of the initial interesting books shown below.

You found an Avengers #1 at a garage sale ? !!!  :whatthe:   (thumbsu

Found it a flea market, dude has been there for years and knows lots of people. Surprisingly this is the 3rd Avengers 1 that he has had. He buys collections all the time and prices books based an outdated overstreet. Picked up another ASM 300 Chromium from him today. Honey Hole!

I think he picked up a collection

He is in the process of trying to buy the rest of the collection that he got the Avengers 1 out of along with the spider-man books I picked up. This dude never seems to let me down wish I would have found him about  6 years ago.

Lucked into a large childhood collection yesterday for dirt cheap. 60 vintage Star Wars figures, 60 GI Joes, 80 Transformers and about 170 comics. The comics are nothing special (1991-1994 stuff) but he threw them in for free.

Pictures or it didn't happen :sumo:

I've always wanted to say that.  tumblr_nw3g7bG6Js1urxr04o1_500.gif.ab72d9d8414a6841e1dcfad0c4e22d23.gif
