Found these at an estate sale yesterday.  First time I have run into something like this in the two years or so since I got back into the hobby.  There were a few hundred books in mostly poor shape, overpriced and pretty well picked over, but these were somehow still there.  Someone else had them pulled but said he didn't want them.  Made for a nice find after a number of misses lately.

FF 26 has been on my list for a really long time. 

A big DD fan too.  Always thought he looked elderly on that cover.

Nostalgia mostly. Most of them are pre-Unity too, which makes them a little more "special". Used to be a huge Valiant reader.

I always buy the pre-unity stuff for $1 or less when I see it, although sometimes I forget which issues are pre-unity.

I always pick up the early Valiants if they're cheap and in nice shape. They're just cool books and still have some potential, I think.

Amazing to still be digging those great Dave Stevens books out of the dollar bin! I thought the word was pretty much out on these, but it appears there are still some deals hiding out there!

Ya, and to think they're still Pre-Unity books out there in dollar bins....there's enough of us out there to willing to save these books it's difficult to believe they haven't been scooped-up yet.

Round two from the elderly gentleman who asked if I wanted to but some golden age about a month ago. After a few meetings he’s warming up to the idea of me selling his stuff on commission. I bought these today, debating whether to crack the Planet 48

Nothing too wild, but I did pick up some goodies from a spot that was recommended to me. I needed Punisher War Zone 23 to complete the suicide run so I’m glad I ran into it. Punisher fig surprisingly had no scratches so finally I have one for my display case. I just need an Uzi  X-Men Lady Liberty Playset is still sealed. The nostalgia hit me

Not comics, but may be of interest to some. I responded to an ad from an older gentleman who had about 50 years worth of Hot Rod Magazine (starting in the mid-1960s) and about 45 years worth of Street Rodder magazine (starting around late 1960s-early 1970s). They were in 5 large boxes and very heavy. I needed a dollie to move the boxes and then had to take about half of them out of each box before I could lift the box(with help) to put into my van. The photo is from the ad he placed. He put the magazines into ziplock bags by year. Haven't gone through them yet to see what shape the earlier issues are in.
