I think I lost my mind. I have not bought books like this for a lot of years, lol...but I couldn't help myself. I have not even gone through all the boxes yet. There are lots of Richie Riches.

Supposedly 1400 comics

Very nice.  Is the entire collection humor/kids books?   That is probably my favorite genre.

Yes, there are 3 boxes of all kinds of Richie Rich books and 5 boxes of Disney, Casper, Sad Sack, other Harveys, Scooby Doo,little Monsters, lots of stuff from the 70's like Speed Buggy, a dog that does Kung Fu, some Helicopter comics? tons of Gold Keys.  I had comics all over my living room last night but only sorted 3 boxes so far....all kids books. It was an OO collection, the owner looks like a retired lineman for the Jets, but he never liked Super Heroes, just kids books...nice man...and going through these is fun.

Hong Kong Phooey?????

how truly bizarre, they look like they are in nice shape too, late 60's to late 70's?   I"d think so of those would be tough to find in grade unless there was a warehouse full of them.  Funny an ex NFL player would have collected all that, but who knows. That's a neat find. Congrats.

Fun batch. What's the overall condition?

i acquired 12 Gold Key 3-packs a few months ago which were all brand new (so roughly 9.2-9.4). They're nice to have

Condition so far is Poor to NM;) Average on the Gold Keys (and I'm only through a few boxes, I'm not rushing), is Fine+ or a little better. The older books are  near Lint to maybe VG;)

Surprisingly there seem to be a lot of doubles. The Richie Riches seem pretty nice so far.

Hong Kong Phooey, lol, YES! Thank you...he's not an ex NFL player, he's a CPA, only looks like an ex NFL player. My husband is over 6'1" and this guy towered above him and was twice his width.  I think his wife was eye level to my husband, I was looking up a lot.

Now that my company left, I'm going to spread more books around the living room. I'm very lucky I don't have to worry about where I sort things, lol.

I almost always have a small pile of comics on the dining room table. New finds to process and read. They don’t stay long but usually get replaced with a new batch. As long as I remove them when people come over, she is cool.
