Antique mall pick-ups yesterday. I have only seen just a hand full of this game out in the wild. Never seen one with the ring. Kids wore and lost it. From 1965.

The Famous Monsters record in nice shape was a steal at $5. Looking forward to playing it!

There's been multiple pressings of that record. As with funnybooks, condition of both vinyl and jacket in addition to the pressing has a big impact on value. That said, I'd probably buy it all day long for $5 regardless.

I dragged out 25 DC remainder copies from storage recently; essentially unread, fresh copies. Would appreciate any comments as to collectible value.

This thread has a lot of interesting finds. Unfortunately this is a story of one that got away or missed it by ..that..much.

I noticed a listing in Facebook Marketplace a couple days ago offering 5 short boxes of comics for $50. I checked it out and of course it was actually $30-$50 each for the comics. He had 5 pictures of the boxes but this is was he showed

comiclotmissed.jpg.7814efd5ff32ac352df75d799087794d.jpgall 5 pictures looked like this. But he at least gave a list of which books were in each box. This is what he wrote.

Looking to get rid of some comics and trade paperbacks. I've collected and inventoried 5 boxes total and this post contains the contents of all 5. Each box will be getting it's own, separate post. Now, here's the deal: The lists of contents are pretty accurate, but I am human. It's possible that I missed or misnumbered something in the box. I'd guess that if I missed anything, it will be that there is an extra comic or two as opposed to something missing. No returns if I made a mistake. If you have a specific question about a box or even single comic, message me, but if someone makes an offer to buy the box before I can get back to you or before you decide, they get it. First offer, first served. A vast majority of the comics are in excellent shape. Some of the older ones can show significant wear but, for the most part, they're in great shape for their age. A high majority of the comics are bagged and boarded but there are some that aren't at all. No, I'm not selling single issues or just a few from a box. I'm not moving contents around. It's the whole box or nothing. Key here is that the boxes are sold as-is.

The first 4 boxes may have had some decent stuff in them, but it was the last box-the X-men box that got my attention. I saw the 94 and thought "naw, he must have meant to write 93 or something", then I saw all the other issue numbers he listed and thought "are these the Byrne issues or are they the modern issues". So I messaged him to see if they were still available (the listing showed it had been up for 3 hours, so I wasn't holding out too much hope) to see if these were from the 1970s-1980s or not. He sent back a picture comiclotmissed2.jpg.c0fd0b00499c9a72e4aea8dafc2b4641.jpgand this was what he showed. Unfortunately he mentioned there was one person ahead of me who was interested, but if he didn't take the X-men box(fat chance) I could get it. After a couple hours he messaged back to say the other guy bought all 5 boxes. If I'd only come across the listing sooner, bummer. It wouldn't be such a big deal except I don't get very many opportunities to pick up something like this for this price (we're talking Byrne X-men books, not to mention issue 266 and some others for roughly 3 comics for a dollar). The collection he had was strange as it ran the gamut from 1970s up to 1990s and maybe a few from the 2000s, but the titles were all over the place and there weren't long runs of many titles.

Yes, I am, indeed lucky. I have been to The Black Angus flea market in Adamstown, PA when there was some snow on the ground. It is open air but has a roof. Those folks are hard core!

can any hunters out there please tell me if there is a rule of thumb concerning bound comics and value? I am talking late GA and SA, trimmed and bound. I do not know about covers/back covers but kinda assume covers yes and no back covers. These are coming up in my area and I might get in the bidding but do not know how de-valued a bound run is. Assume no keys but nice binding and cover. I see some comps but wondered what the popular opinion is if anyone wants to offer any info. :wishluck:

Avengers 1-35 bound sold on auction side (heritage I think) maybe a year ago now. It went for around 3k.  Sorry details are hazy but they have value.

@ADAMANTIUM  You are too kind...Mate, this is a "I have 1500 listings on my store to fill,so I'm buying anything I can sell that is cheap and will return a profit" buy.

It's bloody tough to find anything in the wild of any significance at the moment.

Everyone is suddenly an online comic and ephemera 'expert' - I can't recall so many new sellers popping up (and disappearing when they realise it's hard work) as there are currently. It's getting very tough in OZ.

What's it like in the good old USA - same or better?

Lol it's about the same, difference is maybe that there are so many outlets, you're bound to find something comfortably priced eventually!

Edit: but also, it's always cool, when someone is WILLING to put in the work, as you're doing :) Best of Luck!
