9/23/17 This company posted the estate sale ad only a couple days before the start date ... kinda out of my area so I was hoping it was low key enough .. I tend to notice more buyers come out on Saturday morning sales... the pics showed short box upon short box maybe 30-40 boxes but all lids were closed .. Only one box was open and the pics showed Planet Hulk issues.. so I'm thinking this sale is only going to have late 2000s modern drek at best... I was first and chose the right box.. (it's an acquired skill at choosing the right box to look at)..The first comic I found was either NYX 3 or Catwoman 51.. easily the best estate sale I'd ever been to based on quality, quantity, and price.. only 50 cents each.. one of the most joyous days .. spent $250 total ... some of the highlights.. Batman 244 ended up being an error issue

12-2-17 Cold misty morning..It's really nice and rare to find early bronze X-Men at yard sales.. $2 each .. The sale was so early allowing me time for a moving sale later that afternoon.. where I picked up those copper Marvels for $17 all in. I also picked up low grade Brave and the Bold 54 & Detective 359 for $75 each at that in-house moving sale..

I don't know how or why those binder plastic holders for comics ever became a thing?

4-14-18 I'm parked in my car waiting.. then I see other ppl around the area waiting for this yard sale to start.. the dead time leading up to sales always gives me anxiety.. this sale advertised silver age comics... no pics.. but the promise of silver age issues is decent enough for me to go.. as 30 mins approaches the start time no one on the block is setting up.. as 20, 15, 10, 5 mins lead up till the sale there are still no signs of life at this supposed "yard sale".. It's already 10-15 mins past the advertised time and no one from inside is coming out so one-by-one guys start leaving... I already came this far and waited so long that I figured waiting 30 mins past the start time was my max.... I circle around again as the last guy leaves (everyone was there for the comics)... It's time to leave... As I'm walking around the sidewalk corner I hear a loud bang noise! I see two cars that had collided abruptly in the street....The driver was furious that this woman had hit his car..  It was crazy to see one car swirl directions in real time.. One of the neighbors who hears the accident walks out so I tell her I'm here for a yard sale.. (lol at this point)... She exclaims (luckily) that she knew the couple who were holding the sale... (this is like 40-45 mins past the start time).. So I go inside the small apartment kitchen and see boxes of SA comics on the dinner table... In hindsight I was about getting a deal.. and should have bought the entire collection offering for $250 more but for $150 I don't think I did too bad

Great haul, I really thought this story was going along the lines of...."I heard a crash and saw comics flying across the wind, and my reward for helping the driver that was injured was these comics!"

this was several years ago at an estate sale. i wasn't the first but i probably got the best. some guy cheated his way to the front of the line, got 8 NM98 but i did overall better. most of these books are gone except some of the Spider-man 13s

a lot of the gradeable books hit 9.8/9.6

9/8/18 Paid $30 for this copper age estate sale haul.. always nice to buy Thrasher and Pushead two things you usually don't find in the comics area

He found the place before the address was posted based on photos. Created a sign up sheet that he held on to - took pictures and the estate company honored it despite that the rest of us followed the proper protocol 

plus he went straight for the 8 copies of NM98 which were on top of the short boxes

we suspect that he was told of the books by the person who appraised the collection and told the estate company that they should charge $2 for all the books except a few “keys” 

the tank girl was one of those books and I paid $10 each I think for that one the dark knight and the killing  joke

Nov 17, 18  I'm scanning the type of offerings at this yard sale and I see a lot of recent release DC comics and some new DC t shirts some with Sgt Rock on them. I ask how much the comics are and I'm told 10 cents each! I'm getting the sense the seller might be someone special.. I know I've seen that face somewhere before. Once I mentioned his name he told me to take all his comics free of charge! It was Andy Kubert's yard sale! He didn't let me leave without signing his Giant Size Superman!

Taken out of context with the rest of the story, I thought you were referring to someone that may have special needs... In this day and age, who sells moderns with $5 cover prices for only 10 cents each?!?!
