What does a lone shoe on a highway mean?

That sadly, somewhere, another shoe must face life alone...:frown:

More sadly, it sometimes means the previous occupant is in the ditch. :frown::frown:

Random books from an antique mall. Machine Man is in rough shape. I thought the "Space Toys" book looked interesting. I included a pic of the back - the Star Wars comment caught my eye.

The "authors" in that case were just a little off. lol  I'd love to know what their reasoning was then -- it may have made sense at the time, but it's hilariously wrong in hindsight.

Very nice!  Did you just drive around randomly?  Or how did you find those  garage sales?

best place to look is craigslist for that. It was a Saturday morning me and at least 11 other guys showed up. Mostly 70s or newer. I got lucky because I started looking thru the deadpool/spiderman box. but yes %95 of these are from that garage sale. the other %5 percent Dr Strange book and Cap114 were ebay buys actually.

Did some picking yesterday...at my folks' house! Mom asked if I'd help clean out a storage room in the basement, and I ended up finding some stuff I'd left there long ago.

You don't see this Valentine book every day. The covers have some issues, but the book is complete, unpunched, and super bright.

And the Sof Boy, well I'd forgotten about him entirely!

Here's the page that discusses the collectible value of Star Wars toys. Keep in mind that this was written in 1982. He's wrong about the original toys, but his theory was just 15 years delayed. It's a really interesting book. Lots of cool items.

No comics, but one patch and one button. Can anyone make out the signature on the Tarzan button  - Bob Lubbers?

Yes, that's Bob Lubbers' signature. He drew the Tarzan strip circa 1950 to 1954. He just passed away in July at 95.
