I went to the antique store yesterday and bought another 4 long boxes of books - last trip of the year.  I won't bore you with pictures this time since there would be a lot of pictures of stacks of copies.  Best score was a mid grade Avengers 48 that got mixed into the $18 books.  My first copy since the price exploded.  My favorite grab was a nice high grade set of Conan 6 - 22 that I may get graded.  Love me some early Conan issues.

Not a garage sale but garage pickup off Facebook marketplace so I will count it.

Hulk 92-105 + one shot, Infinity Gauntlet/War/Crusade 1-6, lots of Fables (not direct run), Dark Vixtory 1-13, etc. Not high grade examples (literally in a tub) but good enough!

Went to a garage sale on Friday, picked-up a nice small handful of comics cheap (sorry no photo).  I recognized the seller, he had a bunch of comics in his PC not put out for sale, so I connected with him on FB after chatting the following day when I went out biking on Saturday to see how day two.  Maybe down the road I'll bump this post if I buy more comics.

What kind of garage sale has 6 copies of Action 9?!?

Guy bought 15 boxes of overstock from a comic shop that closed. He’s a sort of dealer that sells anything he can make money on.

Picked this up at a garage sale for 1 dollar. It has some water damage but I couldn’t leave it behind. 1953 Ladies Home Journal.

Nice pick-up. Those are always a cool read to see how the whole Wertham thing unfolded.

The funny thing was it was in a box with more magazines and some old news papers for 5 dollars. I pulled this one out and offered her a dollar. She had a look on her face like why would you want that. She couldn't take my money fast enough.

Well, take a look at the amazing story illustrations featured inside. The two-page splashes are stunning - look for a Whitcomb in there especially. The covers were dogs, but the insides are full of great illos and ads. (thumbsu
