Well, lets go from kids stuff to Adult stuff.....   :whatthe:

Australian Playboys in really, really good order, (most like new) with quite a few celeb issues (not the ultra expensive Danni Minogue one sadly) - 170 of them, plus 10 Modern reprint Western thingys (which I have no idea about.)

Total Cost - $350 USD

Estate sale collection I picked up over the weekend. Nice full run of Thor from 130-399. I saw the 337 newsstand and knew to buy the whole box. I was delighted to see the price change from .25 to .15 to .12 as I was going through the issues glued together at home. I can’t think of an 80s limited series that wasn’t in this collection. Many full runs and sets. Lots of Punisher, X-Men, Thor, Silver Surfer

6250 + vig

"true attic estate find"

I was hoping to get this one but too many eyes on it I guess. I went out and looked at these and the Unseen 9 & 10 are in nice condition. Some other nice books but a ton of GA in ratty brittle condition, what fun that would have been. Congrats to the buyer!

I like the $300-$500 estimate.

Since you went to see them, are all of the comics pictured? There are some good ones shown but $6000 seems nuts.

I see about 12-15 comics that are worthwhile, but depends on condition. If 15 decent ones, that is $416 per comic.

No there were quite a few comics in this lot, maybe 100+, a stack 2 feet high or so. So many were falling apart. They have never been bagged from the looks of them. Here are 3.

Unseen 10 has a 4.5 sale at $1020 recently. (IIRC).

Quite a few dealers have adopted this methodology with the “because prices change I reserve the right to update my price before selling” type disclaimers. Essentially having customers do a big part of their job for them (aka staying on top of their inventory). I mean, I get it...but...still annoying.

That's why you put the cheap stuff on top.  When they get sick of looking up $5 books, they ask how much you want to pay for everything.

Thursday morning yard sale advertising comics? Yeah, I'll bite. No pics of the comics, but I did see the corner of a "toys" sign. I get lost and get there 15 minutes after they open and the comics were sold "early in the morning," except for a few. Uh, yeah, I'll pass on the 10 random issues of Generation X. But I did find the toy signs. A stack of 5, I bought them all. They look familiar and the guy said they are from Toys R Us, but I'm not sure.

I was watching that auction and couldn't believe the final prices on all of those lots . . . crazy

It has been like 9 months since I bought a comic live I was so excited to see someone selling at a streetside flea market. $1 each. I'm a little late on the Apocalypse books, the Lose is some sort of oddball independent that have high ebay asking prices, but not much in sales history.
