Can I ask a silly question? What is the difference between a cover "homage" and a cover "recreation"?

Until you mentioned that, I didn't even catch that the armor was not gold in TOS #39.

Bingo!! Cover homage. a recreation is too complex,the space allowed means reducing the art considerably,id have to draw dots for eyes and that im not ready to do yet.

Homage is a drawing that captures the essence of the original cover( The Avengers is another good example).

As it turns out this stock is glossy and rather than smudge the out of it i decided to add some

color , i think its a bit more striking as is but if color is wanted by the owner then so be it but youve been warned.
