What is the Best Superman Cover from the SA ?

The one thing that always struck me odd about this cover, are the street lamps. I don't know of any lamps on those street lights, that I ever saw in historical photos from that era, looking like the way they are drawn here.

 

Back in the 1960s the white strip-type streetlights were around in England. Not so much in big cities where the orange lights were prominent, but rather in smaller towns and seaside resorts. They looked very much like the Action cover ones except perhaps more parallel with the ground.

 

In those days all the suburb lights were white. They were gradually replaced with orange lighting.

Thats interesting. never saw there here in the US at the time, not that I can remember. Anyone remember those here in the big cities at that time?
