Miss Fury #1 from 1942 -- what grade, what value?

Sorry about the lighting, but this comes to me from a friend who has an older digital camera.

 

Any estimates on grade and value are appreciated. (By value, I mean likely value on the open market, as opposed to Overstreet Guide value.)

Not sure why you say that, but hopefully others will feel differently and provide their feedback.

I'd estimate 5.0 to as high as 6.0. It looks like an excellent central image (the main center of the cover) with no creases or tears. It does look like there are stress lines on the spine, some wear at the staple, and a little paper loss at the bottom of the spine.

 

Not going to venture a guess on value, but you could probably do some research online and get a rough ball park.

I'd say 5.0 to 5.5. Also an "Eldon" book--very cool

 

I don't know the market that well for Miss Fury. I would guess it's an around Guide book.

I would also say 5.0. If you had it graded I wouldn't be suprised if it came

back a 4.5 , or a 5.5. Hard to be super specific with pictures.

Like the rest, I think around 4.5/5.0 is most likely.

 

As for value, ask the question in the Gold Comics forum and I'm sure you'll get an answer.

My first guess was 4.5.....so CGC should come back 4.5-5.0 range
