On some stuff, kinda, on others, not so much....:nyah:

An Eerie #23 CGC 9.6 was a $700./800.00 book maybe 2 years ago. This one has OW/W pages so I’m going to guess $1500.-2000.00 in today’s market? The White Mountain Vampi #1 was a $2500.00 book and I don’t see this book that close to it IMO. The White Mountain copy would be far, far up the ladder for me rather than this book. It’ll be fun to see what someone’s willing to pay out this time for sure...

Right in your estimated range @N e r V

Oakman once said he thought Vampi #1 was the magazines equal to comics Action comics #1. Is it a stretch to say Eerie #23 could end as magazines Suspense comics #3 with its growing in popularity iconic cover?

Suspense 3 is the Eerie 23 of the golden age!  :sumo:

Just got this in today.  I had been looking for a nice copy to go with my existing copy.  Always like to have a backup.  It has some creases at the spine but not too bad.  :)

Increasingly, this is a tough book to find in any kind of decent shape.  One of my all time favorite covers and your copy looks sweet to my eyes!  (thumbsu

If I was to think about things in terms of GA comparisons; my ole' noodle brings me to the thought that Eerie #23 is kind of like Spirit #22.

Both are issues well into the run with an Iconic Female as the focal point.  Both issues are significantly higher than the issues around them in the run and are also not scarce books in general but highly sought after (thus more difficult to find due to that).

My opinion is that the magazine market is still in the earlier stages as to what will eventually lead to certain “classic” covers hitting higher and higher prices in grade with market demands. We are seeing some separation now but I expect much more as has happened with comics now for years. Magazines have just been lagging behind comics with that. You see certain issues moving faster on auctions and threads here all the time but at some point the prices should break much more than they have so far...

Certainly was not me if so :insane:

I’d have wanted at least white pages or a pedigree copy at that range for a magazine. $1600.+ can still buy you a good PCH book that will do better over time.
