Popular Post Number 6 Posted January 18, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted January 18, 2021 These arrived late last week. “Funny” story: the seller re-listed these with a lower price and Best Offer option, so I felt like I got them for a decent price. While I was waiting for these to show up in the mail, the seller listed some more from this series but with cracked slabs. I was watching several thinking if I could get them for a decent price I’d send them to get re-holdered as they were all pretty high-grade. But I misjudged when the auctions were ending, overslept and woke up to find all but 2 of the ones I was interested in had ended. I didn’t think it would be worth the expense to have just books sent ack for re-holdering so I just let the last 2 end without placing a bid. So these show up the next day...and both have damage to the top corner of the slab. Seller was good about it and refunded me the cost of re-holdering. But now I really wish I had made more of an effort to bid on the others as, ironically, I’ll be sending just 2 mags to CGC for new holders. the blob Posted January 21, 2021 Share Posted January 21, 2021 Have been organizing my magazines, culling for undercopies, doubles, triples, etc. and came across this (OK, this pic is off ebay, but i have the same magazine in roughly the same shape), not huge money (SI prices are ALL OVER the place on a given issue), but cool (Bird's first SI cover), and a couple of other SIs that actually sell. Can’t say about the alcohol, but Peter Criss comes in to my wife’s pharmacy once in a while for his meds. Mostly his wife picks them up but he shows up every so often...
