That price tag came on the book but I bought from online dealer. I felt the nastalgia when I saw the sticker and I'm keeping it in that bag too... Until grading.

Finally got these two keys.  X-men 1 took me forever to find in good quality at a reasonable price. People want so much for it.

X-men #1's in 3.0 or 3.5 were around 3k a year or year and a half ago  no longer I guess... but that looks nicer than any of those, congrats!!! @Gruson and nice that you kept up on the page quality that is also hard to do

Not a key or a rare issue, but it has probably my favorite story from the Thomas/Buscema run. Just a well done story told in one issue.

I've heard conflicting info on the actual years of the Silver age. Can some people chime in that have knowledge. 

Did it end 1969 or 70?

Dec '69. I still count any marvel with Jan Feb or March '70 as silver because they were released in '69
