A biggie for me, just picked up a Brave and the Bold 12 which completes my pre-hero B&B’s and leaves me at 199 out of 200 for a complete run. I’ll update the Brave and the Bold thread later but for now...

I bought that issue off the stands.  And, as anyone who collects GA Superman's knows, that rare issue (top left) and $30 story (top right) are both in the same comic...#19.  I had to buy my copy in 1966 at Collector's Bookstore in Hollywood to learn that.  I guess DCs calculations of rarity were a little off too, since CGC has 126 copies in the census...

My Wonderful Wife got me the Wonderful Wasp for Christmas I certainly couldn't have asked for anything better! One of the last, if not the last, reasonably priced silver age key I needed for my Marvel collection.

Not much new Silver age in the last few weeks, but I did pick up this on ebay...it might not be a very popular issue since only two of us bid.  I smashed the other guy with my amazing high bid of $15.50...

Here are three books I picked up during the last ten days of December:

Showcase #34 CGC 7.0 - I picked this up during the last ComicLink auction. I definitely paid more than I should have, but how often do you this upper mid-grade with white pages up for sale?

 

Fantastic Four #49 - CGC 6.5. I traded my FF #49 6.5 to @Omaha-CGC-Comicsfor my FF #49 6.0 plus cash. I now have a partner with my FF #48 CGC 6.5. One of my priorities of 2021 will be to purchase an FF #50 CGC 6.5. Yes, I know I have OCD, but that discussion is for another time and place.

 

Last, but CERTAINLY not least, is Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 2.5. I purchased this from Collectors Comics (https://collectorscomics.com/#/). I paid over FMV, but a chance to purchase a book like this doesn't come around every day.
