Late 50’s Marvel before the great bust in their comic line...

A placeholder until I can upgrade. Love the cover...:x

I love it.Although I can't stop imagining Patrick Swayze in his Roadhouse home-kicking open that barn door and conquering the Ditko Totem monster looking thing with some Dirty Dancing.

Hope I created a good visual there  lol

@N e r V what issue is this-or is it a one off?I can't seem to remember any issues in my collection

That’s number 4 in a 8 issue run that began in 1956 and ended in 1957. I think any Journey into Mystery collector needs some of these if for no other reason the logo swipes between the two titles...

Thanks!I did look them up and wow!I don't have, nor have I seen any before today.

You're often putting things on my radar,I appreciate that-always love to learn.

I really like the cover to issue five! With that red I wonder if adamstrange has a supersweet copy?

That’s an Everett cover. There’s a few in the run. If you like red and Everett covers try looking for one of these...

Love Steranko Nick Fury covers. Thrilled I was able to meet him at the Washington State Summer Con in 2019 and have him sign a few books.

Did you get him to sign #4 or 6?  Those are my favorites.  I read a Kirby biography which mentioned that Steranko was an escape artist too.  It made me like him even more

It's on the list.I found out about that one after picking up one of these-with thanks to jimbo(after singing it's praise and harping about it,Jim tracked me down a copy)adamstrange showed me a few other beauties too,as it's the cliff style, like above that tickles my fancy. One was an underground tunnel, greyish green...he knew about and showed me some real beauties!I'm a big,big Everett lover.I wonder who did most of his coloiring?Himself?

I'm still keeping my eyes peeled for a Mary Marvel butterfly cover too-I finished the Kennedy assassination cover set, since we're gabbing.

Marie Severin likely did some coloring for Atlas. There were others... I think Burgos was supposed to have colored som e of his covers too. GOD BLESS....
