lou_fine
How's this for a group shot ? Here's a few earlier Detective Comics That was the best thread I've found on these boards to-date. That collection and the story behind them, just amazing. Got a link? I would love to read that. Can't believe you haven't seen this thread yet: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1628473&fpart=1 Just an absolutely unbelievable collection from Bang Zoom. Can never get enough of it. Hope this holiday season finds him in better health!
lhcomics
I guess CGC caught the trim on resubmission after all ( need to go back a couple pages to know the backdrop of the story ) https://comics.ha.com/itm/miscellaneous//p/7158-60001.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 Didn't this TEC 29 just sell last month as restored but no trim noted? I was scared off because it had been mentioned as once trimmed. If it did sell where is the listing on HA?

Who cancelled the sale buyer or HA? the buyer OK I would think then the buyer had HA resubmit and if trimmed no deal if not trimmed then deal. If the sale didn't happen on the untrimmed version of the comic why is GPA showing it did happen at $22,108 on Nov 17 and the label notes say "Restoration includes: tear seals to interior, spine splits sealed to cover. (CENTERFOLD TRIMMED.)" Graded 11/30/16 which is a week after it sold. Anyway it would have sold for maybe $15K tops I believe if Trimmed had originally been noted. Could well be, but for me the cf being trimmed on a book like this wouldn't be that big a deal, given the book's other problems.

I would agree if your intention was to leave comic alone but if you had plans of making it say 1.0 blue that ideal went out the window with trimmed CF. Everything else could be undone. Sure reads like a lot of extra stuff either done or added to the book, yet it received only a Slight Restoration designation.
lou_fine
Well, looks like the Billy Wright copy of Detective 28 finally did good on this third go-round for the book: http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?referral=EAlist&id=685979&title=DETECTIVECOMICS Sold for $64K on CC as a CGC 8.5 graded copy. Originally sold on HA as part of the big BW unveiling as a CGC 8.0 graded copy for $44.8K back in February of 2012 before being flipped for a loss as a CGC 8.5 graded copy for only $38.5K a few months later in May of 2012. I predict you will now be hooked into GA with this pickup and within 2017, you will have sold all your SA to buy gold #2017prediction .
