If anyone is looking for a Tec 27 cf only, CC has one up for sale.  Just a heads up.

Asking $18,975.  You know, the way things are going, that doesn't sound unreasonable.

Don't know how long it's been up, but I'm sure someone will soon beat the current high offer of $7K.  In fact, I would be surprised if it lasts long, unless the consignor has his heels dug on getting all of his current ask.

Looks like the 31 1.5 that was offered here on the boards tanked completely in the CC auction

NOT the best choice of auction (monthly CC auction) for such a big book imo

Can I be honest with you?  I would have never thought I would see a 1.5 copy of that book sell that high

hopefully the consignor feels the same as you guys do!  that is considerably lower than i expected.  it seems pre-robins may be experiencing a bit of a correction at this time?  while rare they have been easy to find lately within each auction cycle if you have the funds.

Yeah.. just bad timing perhaps and also not having it in a signature or main event auction hurts too. The deep pocketed bidders I would assume only look into the main auctions and not the side auctions like this.

Also sorry to say and I know the seller is a boardies but the eye appeal is lackluster at least with me.  If I didn't have a copy I would have easily passed on bidding and wait for another copy.  Let's not forget too that there have been numerous Tec 31's that were auctioned off this year alone.. so those same bidders who won a copy didn't have to bid again.

Especially when a portion of its premium pricing rests solely with the cover, and less attractive covers naturally coincide with that low of a grade.

With so many quality GA books like the Action's, All-Star, Superman's, etc in this particular Monthly Auction, this auction appeared to be more of a cross between a Monthly Auction and one of their Event Auctions.

Especially when CC usually always have their next Event Auction posted right after their last one has been completed.  So far, nothing except for the 4 Walking Dead #1 reprints ever since their last Event Auction finished back in March.

Makes me almost wonder if they ran into some type of scheduling problem with their Event Auctions?  (shrug)

Well, if that's the case, then you must be totally aghast at what this CGC 1.0 copy was able to fetch not just once, but twice in different auctions over the past couple of years:
