Superman #75 Platinum (1993) question...

I have several of all of the platinum Editions as well as letters from DC about them. I have not been able to locate my letter about the 75 as of yet, however I do know that all of the platinum Editions besides the normal distribution were also awarded to a few for filling out surveys.  Which might explain the "A" for award. I also do have a letter that DC explains the amount printed and numbering.  20200808_235343.jpg.aa9d6c9733e9ecf93dc10fdb1f851d89.jpg20200808_235112.jpg.1da55a3e24647fa66dd8fedf8b72e50b.jpg20200809_132956.jpg.4edf5c1604692d8c66d43692b9dc116f.jpg

In addition I have seen one copy of #75 that had no number at all printed on the back.20191014_185451.jpg.b482893a5d1c46796957a900d5d27ca1.jpg

Unfortunately the owner had it signed and graded by Voldy. All of my platinum Editions are numbered between 4000 and 6000. if I can track down my letter specifically about the 75 will update.

I got contacted by the owner of that one awhile back asking if I knew anything about it (I didn't).  I was heart broken that it was signed and graded by another company!

Mine is 9513.

Yeah. It was Glen and I felt the same way about it. I definitely would have personally wanted that one in cgc universal. I just got back a couple more of my originals that I sent in this last week. The platinum 75 is number 6464. The 500 in 9.6 is the error version.scan0098.thumb.jpg.95ac4f45f667c7817b4f3c2c5e40d3a0.jpg.9968bb69ef8b3dea1ee7ba0d741a5c2d.jpgscan0096.thumb.jpg.de38ff01fba29815e8e24d9853334cc2.jpg.2ab1ecb4f6e22b77c775940f0a9e77d6.jpgscan0094.thumb.jpg.0ca2e7db3a2cbc4ff5305e8f56757d4b.jpg.46973d4141ceee0b64e36f27c5e760bf.jpg

Thank you. I thought the same thing when I was filling out to send them in and hoped they would come back not only in order , but would hit the 9.8s.  2 out of the 3 I am happy with considering how long I kept these books inside their poly bags.

Just curious if there was a way to identify the error version without sending to CGC.  Honestly mostly just curious if my copy is one or not.  I had asked Cpt Kirk a year or so back, he looked at his copies, side by side one of them was duller.  Not really much of a tell, just curious if anyone had noticed anything more.

If you look at the two scans I shared above the 9.8 is the regular platinum edition.  The 9.6 is the error where the platinum ink didn't print correctly.  Standing alone it is really hard to tell, but next to a regular you can spot the difference.  It does appear duller and a different shade than the regular copy. Those are the only differences so far that I have spotted between the two.

Glad this got a bump. Here is a copy of one of the letters for the Superman #75 Platinum Edition.  At some point I will find my original and I know I have another letter as well. 20210104_214853.thumb.jpg.d6b3e6c6e11c444a4f6bfc10e7be5b84.jpg
