A gem!

 

Congratulations to the person who just bought the 8.5 graded copy of Wonder Woman #179 for double guide price - it is, after all, a spectacular book! The low grade is deceptive - there are only 20 higher. It seems to me this is an under-appreciated O'Neil book and should be in the territory of the Adams bronze Batmans and Green Lantern-Green Arrows. Overstreet gives the previous issue as more valuable, but for me it's 179 that does it - what a great cover! Okay the story is a bit silly - NWW getting attacked by little toys, but hey... camp classic? So how come no-one's doing a kick- Tarantino-style New Wonder Woman movie?? Surely that would have to be a winner (though I think there was a bad movie of new Wonder Woman done at some point in the 70s or 80s...)!
