I'm 29 years old and I grew up watching this show on Nick at Night. I loved it, so it's not only for the baby boomers.

Good to see that later generation TV viewers are enjoying the program. BTW, Shout Factory later this year will be releasing the entire program digitally restored and remastered on DVD. Keep an eye out via Amazon.

I have a low grade copy of that book. I'm actually old enough to have seen the show when it originally broadcast. I always liked the Maynard G. Krebs character. "You rang?"

And don't forget the way Maynard (Bob Denver) would shout 'WORK!" That was even funnier. Man, how I miss Bob Denver. He left us all too soon. BTW, Dwayne Hickman had a prominent role in the Jane Fonda/Lee Marvin vehicle:

"Cat Ballou". One of the best comedy westerns of the era and one for which Lee Marvin won his only Best Actor Oscar.
