For Baby Boomers only I suppose. A pre-Gilligan Bob Denver as Maynard G. Krebs Tuesday Weld, and Warren Beatty all had prominent roles in the TV series. Also Zelda had the hots for Dobie later became a city coucilwoman in Los Angeles.

"You rang" was Bob Denver's catchphrase. Great program with a great cast. TheManyLovesofDobieGillis1.jpg

I'm 29 years old and I grew up watching this show on Nick at Night. I loved it, so it's not only for the baby boomers. :)

And don't forget the way Maynard (Bob Denver) would shout 'WORK!" That was even funnier. Man, how I miss Bob Denver. He left us all too soon. BTW, Dwayne Hickman had a prominent role in the Jane Fonda/Lee Marvin vehicle:

"Cat Ballou". One of the best comedy westerns of the era and one for which Lee Marvin won his only Best Actor Oscar.

Didn't Hickman become a director, or was that his brother? hm
