Here's what came in todays mail. Great centering, white pages, black cover...whats not to like.

Great copy! This issue sticks out in my mind as I remember buying it off the spinner rack at my local 5 & 10 cent store. What was weird about it is that the series was well into issue sixty-something and all of a sudden this issue 31 is on the rack! I’ve come to believe that the store owner must have misplaced his shipment of this issue, finally found it and put it in the rack for sale years later! (shrug)

I am mainly a Marvel collector, but those early Witching Hour covers really grabbed my attention, especially #4, do you have a copy? Oh! And the cover with the old guy locking his window #5 I think it is?

I don't have those copies slabbed but I think I have them raw. I'll take a look. 5 is also a great one which has a common theme of looking out the window. 5, 19 and 30 all have something like that which I love.

I didn’t realize that Whitman variants went back so far. While not expensive, collectors do pay a premium over the much more common Gold Key books.

Interesting, were the Whitman’s only in the 3-packs or were they sold separately also? I’ll have to check my Spektors. Here are some I have scanned.
