Hello all,

 

Well, by now, you must all know that I suffer from some medical issues. Well, on Sunday, getting ready for my first convention in 20 years, I was hit with a case of "Balloon Feet and Ankles"! There were a few boardies at the show who can attest to this :(

 

Well, it just so happens that I saw a specialist about it today and apparently a "new"" side effect to the arthritis meds I am on is "Congestive Heart Failure"! doh! Can ANYTHING else go wrong? This past year, well closer to 2 actually, have been THE WORST in my life! It seems like one hit after another!

 

Anyhow... I had plans on going to SDCC and have bought my airfare over a month ago and promised to help a fellow member out at their booth. All was fine and dandy, except for being SLAMMED today with a new medication that is quite expensive and took a major dent out of my spending money for the trip. Another doh!

 

So, what does one do in a situation like this?

 

Answer: run a MARATHON SALES THREAD!!!

 

So, I will be running a sales thread from now through Sunday at 5PM PST.

 

I would ask that all sales are finalized and paid up by Sunday night, This will give me the time needed to package and mail out the books on Monday., However, if you will be attending the SDCC and would like to be hand delivered the books, that's fine! You'd save the shipping, but I would still need payment via PayPal Sunday night. Reason being; I need to see how much I can "recoup" in order to properly plan for the trip... It seems that EVERY TIME I AM JUST ABOUT IN THE CLEAR, BAM! Hit with another pile of cr@p!!! :tonofbricks:

 

Anyhow, I will be listing a ton of books. I think I'll be starting with somewhat HG copies of DC bronze, there will also be KEY DC and MARVEL books, some GA and the oddball thrown in every once in a while! Prices will be as low as I can go without losing money, at which point I am not in a position to do!

Shipping: Within the continental US will be $6 for as many as you can handle ($10 for slabs), Canada and overseas will be actual costs, sorry guys, the USPS has great domestic rates, however they aren't so great for international! For Canadian orders, I can mail from Canada, as I actually live in Canada. I ship everything from the US for the most part though.

As far as I can tell, none of the books have been pressed. If they have been, I will advise. I personally do not like to sell books that I press, however, if you buy a book and would like to ask if would benefit from a press, I would be happy to oblige and charge half the going rate (which is CHEAP!). Just so you know, I do know how to press and am actually quite good at it. Below is a book that was given to me by a local dealer to be done. I think that if I can handle such a book, a $50 or lower book should be NO PROBLEM AT ALL!

In all seriousness, good luck with the sale and hope everything goes good for you! Not to make light of it with a ridiculous comparison but my dog got congestive heart failure REAL bad when she was like 11. Her lungs would fill up with so much liquid from it she wouldnt be able to breathe and would have a seizure. They put her on some med that I can't remember now and it made it MUCH better and she lived to almost 17.

 

I don't know about humans but hopefully the meds they give you will have the same effect and you will be back to yourself in no time :wishluck:

I have to try and keep a positive attitude! I have had bad health problems for years, but this is a whole new ballgame!

 

They did give me two different types of puffers, hopefully they do the job... My BIGGEST thing I NEED to do is quit smoking!!! BTW - SMOKEFREE HOME! I smoke outside, so no smoking comics (tsk)

BTW - I have graded TIGHTLY so that there is no reason for any complaints :) If you trake a look at kudos/feedback, I have a great score on grading! I actually sold a member a BA book as a 9.8 RAW and sure enough, CGC'd 9.8 WHITE!! The member who'd like to remain anonymous made an easy $500 on that sale!
