As a reminder, if you're attending shows and taking submissions, please let me know and I will list you so we know who to contact!

 

The list below has creators that have been requested or that generally have a large enough following to be mentioned for the good of everyone.

 

Please check and see if the creator you are looking for is listed!

 

Also, please remember that if a creator you are looking for isn't listed, it doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't making appearances. It just means that no one has requested them to be added to the list yet. If you want someone added, just ask! If they are listed with no dates after their name, then they have been requested but have no appearances in the next three months.

 

Why three months? First, it gives 90 days notice, give or take. That is generally enough time to make arrangements to attend a show or get something to someone who is attending. Second, it makes things easier and less confusing. Making appearances at shows is generally a side job for the majority of these people so while Bazooka Joe may have agreed to attend a show nine months from now, he may get behind on his deadlines, get sick, have a falling out with the promoter, develop hodophobia, or any of a million other things and he may have to cancel that appearance. Not all shows list cancellations, the guest just disappears. It seems to happen less frequently during the three month window. Checking the guest lists against this list then checking this list against the guest lists is time consuming.

 

All of the shows listed have a link to their site. If the suspense is too much for you, just start clicking away and see if the creator or entertainer you are looking for is slated to appear at an upcoming show.

 

If you want someone added or know of an appearance, you can either add it here or PM me and I'll get them on the list.

 

Expect ridicule if you ask anything covered here. lol

 

If someone is accepting submissions for shows or mail in signings or whatever, please let me know! Again, I try to keep an eye on things, but I've had some slip by in the past and really don't want to slight anyone. I’m a big fan of a level playing field.

Two new shows added, both with some pretty cool guest lists.

 

The first one is already upon us, the New Jersey Comic Expo is November 19 & 20 and Rich Henn is accepting. They will have some of the less frequently seen Walking Dead stars as well as Bill Willingham, David Finch, Tony Harris, Rick Leonardi and Mike Zeck. Check your lists and get in touch with Rich right away!

 

The first weekend of December brings us the Great American Comic Con Las Vegas, December 4 and 5. It’s a Copper Age fan’s type of show! John Romita Jr. will be there along with Rich Buckler, Frank Brunner, Len Wein, Howard Chaykin, Steve Englehart, and the always entertaining Allen Bellman.

 

As a side note, Rich Buckler has had some health problems recently, so go by and pick up some goodies from his table or throw a few bucks at him for some signatures. Cliff Meth has done a lot to help, but as most of us know, comics creators don’t have the best of insurance. I’ve got a request in for some prints or sketchbooks.

 

The first shows of 2017 are up as well!

 

Wizard World New Orleans is up and running. It was one of the big shows last year and while the guest list is good, there are no facilitators listed yet.

 

Albuquerque has their first guests listed including Ryan Hurst. I have a problem with the show’s site, though. It had Billy Tucci and Sergio Aragones’ art on the site in a big way but they are not listed. It seems disingenuous to have their art on the page.

Anyone facilitating Steel City?

 

Steel City fell off of this list some time back due to a general lack of comics talent. Basically, it became more of a Hollywood show. That being said, I have no knowledge of anyone taking subs and since it is not here, you might do better asking in a new thread so as to catch more attention. Not that there is anything wrong with asking here. I just think that your own thread will get more traffic and may draw enough attention from others that want might something done at the same show to get a facilitator for the show.

I will put down the crack pipe before updating from now on. For those that were looking forward to NYCC in February, I apologize. I have no idea where a February date came from.

As a reminder, if you're attending shows and taking submissions, please let me know and I will list you so we know who to contact!

 

The list below has creators that have been requested or that generally have a large enough following to be mentioned for the good of everyone.

 

Please check and see if the creator you are looking for is listed!

 

Also, please remember that if a creator you are looking for isn't listed, it doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't making appearances. It just means that no one has requested them to be added to the list yet. If you want someone added, just ask! If they are listed with no dates after their name, then they have been requested but have no appearances in the next three months.

 

Why three months? First, it gives 90 days notice, give or take. That is generally enough time to make arrangements to attend a show or get something to someone who is attending. Second, it makes things easier and less confusing. Making appearances at shows is generally a side job for the majority of these people so while Bazooka Joe may have agreed to attend a show nine months from now, he may get behind on his deadlines, get sick, have a falling out with the promoter, develop hodophobia, or any of a million other things and he may have to cancel that appearance. Not all shows list cancellations, the guest just disappears. It seems to happen less frequently during the three month window. Checking the guest lists against this list then checking this list against the guest lists is time consuming.

 

All of the shows listed have a link to their site. If the suspense is too much for you, just start clicking away and see if the creator or entertainer you are looking for is slated to appear at an upcoming show.

 

If you want someone added or know of an appearance, you can either add it here or PM me and I'll get them on the list.

 

Expect ridicule if you ask anything covered here. lol

 

If someone is accepting submissions for shows or mail in signings or whatever, please let me know! Again, I try to keep an eye on things, but I've had some slip by in the past and really don't want to slight anyone. I’m a big fan of a level playing field.

I will put down the crack pipe before updating from now on. For those that were looking forward to NYCC in February, I apologize. I have no idea where a February date came from.

 

Everything through February is up! Tragically, I don’t know of anyone taking subs for any of the January or February shows. If anyone is taking these on, please let me know and I will get you listed!

 

He’s not on the list, but Ricou Browning, one of the stunt men in the original Creature From The Black Lagoon, is appearing at the Paradise City Comic Con and Pensacon. He’s the last surviving original Universal Monster.

 

Also not on the list, but then I believe this is his first convention appearance, is Tom Sizemore. I can’t think of a comic related thing he has done, but I’ve always liked his work and thought he was well worth a mention.
