What is happening with emails from PM's showing up hours/days later?

I used to get an email notification of a PM immediately but over the last month or so they are showing up very late...sometimes days later all at once or sometimes 3-4 hours later?

This delay is due to some slowness with our e-mail server which is being resolved, so hopefully it should be improving or will improve soon.
