If valued at $10K, why don't you CGC it yourself and sell it for $10K?

if it doesn't sell, i'm going too. i'm not a professional grader, but i've taken it to two shops and a local collector and they all called it "very fine" or very fine + or -. but yeah, if it doesn't sell, i'll probably get it graded. and hopefully not get disappointed. what do you think it would grade at? cause i looked at a few 2.0 and 4.0 and a 7.5...and this book was in just as good shape as the 7.5. much much better than the 2 or 4.

and caps sell on eBay. hahaha. whatever

and its definitely not restored. its been inside that envelope for about 80+ years. pretty wild.

and i looked it up here... Comics Price Guide value

WOW!

what would you say it's worth?

here ya go...got it graded.

Famous Funnis - a carnival of comics CGC 4.5 w/ original mailing envelope...

http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=439100

ends april 10th, bidding starts at a buck

You did come back, if only to hawk it at a new auction site.

So it started life as a VF, then was downgraded to a Fine+ and now CGC has it as a 4.5? Must've been some pretty rough handling along the way. BTW, we're still waiting for the answer here:

It seems pretty obvious this guy isn't coming back. I'm surprised this spam is still here.

sorry, i have a job.

thanks for the advice ladies. i'll see if it sells, if not...i'm gonna get it graded. and then sell it.

now transplant...you're right, i probably won't be back.

cheers!

Don't leave. We want to hear about these mythical comic shops who graded this a VF.

Just FYI for folks: This was originally spammed in GA.

Just an FYI, this isn't spam.

and to clarify, it started as an ungraded book which was speculated to have been a possible 5.5-7.0 CGC grade by people that consider themselves well versed in the world of comicbooks. so friggin sue me for saying so. when i got the book back from CGC, i was terribly disappointed, but it's still in great shape, and one of less than 30 that exist in such condition according to the CGC cencus.

It was spam to post a For Sale thread in the middle of GA. In fact, you were pointed to this forum as the correct one, in the post immediately following yours. But you chose to ignore it and continue to tell everyone how nice you thought the book was.

Do tell, who were these comic shops that graded this as a very fine?

the moderators never moved my thread until now, and that's why i replied within the same thread. it's not my job to recatagorize comic book message board threads to your liking.

and i posted it in the GOLD COMICS section because that seemed fitting, turd breath

the shop was New England Comics. now GFY

You're a bundle of sunshine. It IS your job to post things in the correct section of the boards. But you wouldn't know that because you only came here to sell a book, not be part of the community.
