Nothing quite says "pathetic loser" more than a collection of superhero fetish porn.

Except maybe an eagerness to display said collection to the world.

(This isn't referring to your Death illustration, but rather the pieces that prompted this thread.)

If a vintage CB piece of Vampi diddling herself did come up for sale, I'm thinking there would be no shortage of buyers. My point above, however, was that just because an artist is not well known, it doesn't mean the art isn't worth buying.

Oh I agree, but I'm more commenting on the porn aspect than the unknown aspect. I get that a Bachalo porn piece would have appeal to somebody, just not "unknown artist X's" porn drawing. There is SO MUCH of that on ebay that it's appalling.

I don't know, I think my wife already puts me in the pathetic loser category just for collecting comic art . . .

Yeah, I get that too. She'll see the truth, someday, when I die and she gets a big fat check from Heritage. Then who'll be the loser? Not this dead guy. I'll just be dead.

We moved house, to a bigger place in a posh area, on the strength of my artwork sales of last year.

My wife loves my artwork collection!

Re: my wife already puts me in the pathetic loser category just for collecting comic art . . .

Hmmm.... My wife is pretty darned awesome in this regard (among others).

She bought me these:

Bat Lash by Nick Cardy

Teen Titans by Nick Cardy

Batman by Sheldon Moldoff

The Hulk by Herb Trimpe

JLA #29 Page 10 by Sekowsky/Sachs (my first comic)

Daredevil and Black Widow by Gene Colan

And talked me into getting these:

Sgt. Rock by Joe Kubert

Superboy, Mon-El, and Shadow Lass by Curt Swan

My collection would be a lot smaller and less interesting without her.

There are some CC Beck and Russ Heath porn commissions floating around out there. I was very surprised when I saw the Beck piece. It involved Mary Marvel and Mr. Mind
