Who knows, but sales are crazy everywhere. If anyone plays Topps Marvel Collect, a set of Retro X-Men went from selling for $150 to $450 in a month.

A Thanos Reserve went from selling for $75 to $265 during the same time span.

...Yes, these are digital cards.

if these are sold on the secondary market where does one originally purchase these digital cards?

It’s an app where you collect digital cards. Topps has a similar app for Star Wars, baseball (bunt), hockey (skate), Walking Dead, WWE and even Disney. You get free coins every day and you can purchase a secondary currency to chase new sets or cards that are dropped daily or weekly. The cards I linked to above are long sold out - Retro X-men were limited to 250cc minus the award and the Thanos Reserve was available for a month by purchasing a “box” for around $20. You’d have to buy them on the secondary market or trade for them in the app.

This article from five years ago when the Star Wars app dropped and a Vintage Han was selling for $200. It explains the concept pretty well. The only thing that has changed is the introduction of a secondary currency.

How the Hell Is This JPG of Han Solo Worth $225?

When you buy a card(s) you are essentially buying a trade agreement. The person sends you the cards you purchased via a trade for a common base card on your end.

I couldn’t find #10 anywhere but I did manage to get #9 (and it does have a last page splash cameo of yellow Hulk). Also found one of those Kill Lock #2s... still don’t know what the deal with that book is. Low print run I’m assuming?

Can’t take the time to look up 6 posts. It’s possible he doesn’t have the time to spell out the full title of the book.

Idw9 = Marvel Action Avengers 9

I saw he mentioned 10 kinda difficult to understand he was talking about the same book

I thought he was talking about a title from the publisher Idw(shrug)

I seem to of missed this development as well. It appears Marvel has licensed its characters out to IDW and Archie comics. Seems extremely odd and a telling sign for monthly printed comics.

Looks like some people might be speculating on the Star Trek: Starfleet Academy series (Marvel, 1996) written by Christian Cooper, the man that the woman in Central Park called 911 on.

Are you serious?  Speculating taking on a political twist!

Just looking at the number of sales on eBay in March and in April, there was an uptick starting in mid-May. No huge sales, but definitely more sales. Some noting the (previously relatively un-noteworthy) writer in the description. I've read it also features the first openly gay human character in the Star Trek Universe as well, although I can't imagine that that's true, considering how many television episodes and novels there have been.
