It was selling that high at one point 2-3 years ago.. wonder what a 9.8 Kirkman SS would sell for? $2.5-3k? I have one

No it wasn't. In 2016 the highest sale was an outlier at $1545 (no other was more than $700). 2017 high was $1200. 2018 high was $1200. 2019 high was $1278. 2020 high was $1750. Even if GPA misses private sales, no way was there a $2k sale when the highest all year was $1200.

And I'd like to see your Kirkman SS. There are only 43 in existence and I've never actually seen one from anyone I "know". Did you get it slabbed yourself or buy it that way? When? How much?

I think that's cheap still

Don't say that!  I sold mine for $1,700 a bit ago and I really thought it had a ceiling of $2,000 unless the show is a blockbuster.  I sold one 9.6 for $800 direct and my last 9.6 is sitting unsold for $899.  I've got two raw complete sets but I don't think I get anymore graded #1s so I guess I'll be happy with the profits.

Where do you have your 9.6 listed for $899? Don’t see one on eBay

Are you selling the raw sets?

Agreed.. there’s so much potential for that book considering in close to 20 years there’s never been any media attached to it. yet since the year it came out it’s been a $100 comic.. reminds me of Goon 1

Whoops - I must have bumped it up to $949.99 since everyone wants a 10% discount now adays.

I understand that there is TV buzz (and has been for a while), but I find it fascinating that this book is approaching WD #1 levels for a #1 and WD was a frigging pop culture phenomenon.

What are the respective print runs on the two #1s?

Invincible 1 Larry’s is seeming like a bargain. I remember when they were being blown out in lots 5 for $20 on eBay. This was 4-5 years ago

There’s a few reasons why they will stay cheap

First of which being that it’s a reprint not a real variant
