I remember when Saga came out and its 30K+ sales number was huge at the time.

That turd Bedlam sold 18K (i think), and it was considered a large number. About 17,000 of those can be found on eBay for a dollar, probably.

Bedlam

100k is a big order number. Quit trying to make the book seem rare or low print. It's not.

lol

Take a look at big orders in 2020 for books with no first appearances and then tell me this book has a high print run considering we are in peak SW hype phase right now and there are 3 covers.

When is diamond's typical final order date?

Check Previewsworld for the weekly comic Final Order Cutoff (FOC) lists. They post them for all of the Marvel and Independent books they distribute weekly.

I'm not saying it is "rare", there are always a few books a month that go over that. It does seem that DC trimming back the # of titles ought to result in some more six digit books. sales do seem to be picking up a bit.

I loved watching that book tank. I hated the premise of the first issue and watch speculators take a bath on it.

It was December 7. Final Order Cut Off was December 7. I do remember seeing several store variants get announced after the Disney Investor call on December 10 that announced the TV show based in the High Republic.

And that is why the 2nd print was announced that week or the next on a four day order window. FOC had closed before the announcements and stores had people calling in. Marvel solicited a rush 2nd print, and will dropping the third print this week as well due to demand.

Personally, I think going to the larger format and higher cover prices on some titles is going to hurt DC. Time will tell, I guess, but how many people want to drop $7.99 on a book for an additional story focused on back up characters?

How many readable pages are there? I guess if there are 64 that would not be a bad price

Of course, to the speculator that is meaningless as the only time a high cover price might help with speculation is if something big happens in the book and it wasn't ordered due to the high price

Talked to my local shop today. Said they doubled their normal order on SW books for Republic and
sold out late today. So demand is strong. Other shop sold out as well, but they ordered their normal
amount I think. Be interesting to see around middle of next week when mail orders come in how
much of a drop occurs or at all.

I am still busy counting ASM 55 copies.
