He must assume that no-one checks recent feedback. Then again he only needs two newbie bidders who are unaware of the importance of checking feedback and have buckets of cash, and he's in....

Judging from the feedback the buyer probably figured out it was a scam and negged without paying.

 

How do you take payment off ebay? If you pay by check or money order, is ebay buyer protection still valid?

if you pay outside of ebay you are not covered
