Final reading of the year.

 

All New X-Men #4. The X-Men finally get interesting.

 

Captain America #2. A terrible story complimented by some ugly art.

 

FF #2. Mildly intriguing.

 

Indestructible Hulk #2. Iron Man goes Fracking.

 

Avengers #2. Surprisingly humdrum so far from Hickman.

 

Thor God of Thunder #3. Still interesting.

 

Thunderbolts #2. Kicker conspiracy.

 

X-Men Legacy #3. Tedious.

 

A + X #3. More team-ups.

 

Captain America & Black Widow #640. More alternate realities.

 

Captain Marvel #8. Dull.

 

Winter Soldier #13. Slight improvement on the previous issue.

 

Scarlet Spider #11 & #12. Yawn inducing.

 

Cable and X-Force #1. Mildly interesting.

 

Amazing Spiderman #700. Wow! Just terrible.

 

Avenging Spiderman #15.1. Jeez, what a mess.

I KNOW that I read more than this but (with the exception of the Uncle Scrooges, which I'm surely underestimating, I had a BIG stack of them during the summer) this is what I'm sure I read.

Strange Tales 136 through 168 Doctor Strange 169 through 183, Sub-Mariner 22, Nick Fury Agent of Shield 1 - 15, thereby finishing off the first of my newly rebuilt SA Marvel collection. Great stuff, all of it. (Well, okay, mebbe some of the early Human Torch stories are a little iffy... )

 

 

Walt and Skeezix volumes 4 & 5, reprints of the Gasoline Alley newspaper strip from 1927 through 1930. That's 1000+ daily strips, if you call three dailies the equivalent of one comics page, that's apx 335 pages, or call it 15 comic books.

 

Total for 2012: 1020

 

I believe I can better that in 2013, or at least keep better track, lol

Oh, and by the bye, the Gasoline Alley strip reprints, 5 volumes out so far following the strip from the beginning through the end of 1930, are

238 previous + 3 added = 241 comics read in 2012.

 

Didnt even come close or read as many as last year! doh!

 

I really need to reconsider owning/possessing so many comics if I can not read 1000 comics a year.
