Looks like another weak OA auction at Heritage in May!

From the unofficial unsubstatiated OA gossip/rumor mill, word from the cabal is that a collector tried to put FF 55 back together but this one page on Heritage alluded him to such a degree that he gave up and sold off the pages.

This story clearly illustrates how undesirable that page is.

I can see no interest whatsoever in these pieces...and I'm sure nothing else decent will be offered...

I suppose decent is relative to what you're looking for too. Ebay / slightly off-Ebay has been quite decent for some stuff I had been dying for recently; however, heratige hasn't been.

That said, there's still a month, but with prices realized from last time, I would have thought more people would be in already (shrug)

ie. the TF cover sold really well and I was hoping for some more this auction :wishluck:

I think the bidding on this page will be bloodier than when Stallone took out half the Burmese army in the last Rambo film.

Love 55 FF artwork.

However, when I looked at the zoom in of the page, the inks look different than I would have expected. They don't feel very Sinnott. Strange.

I can see why you're excited about the FF #55 page. The JRJR page, not so much.

I like the pic of Stan with his arm around the porn star!

They both have their place. That run of X-men for JRJR is well remembered.

It may be well remembered, but it isn't fondly remembered.

Except by a lot of fans of OA.

Except by a lot of fans of OA with bad taste.

Fixed that for ya! :baiting:

It is comic art. The entire art world equates the entire area of art with bad taste.

:gossip: They're wrong too.

I thought exactly the same thing when I took a closer look - it really does not feel very Sinnott to me either. hm

OK, I'm totally missing what's going on here. Is this a head fake of some sort?
