jimjum12 29,083 posts Posted September 22 I've been helping a friend sell his collection and he was a BIG fan of the price variants. Several boxes full of them in varying grades. Naturally, I'm wanting to keep a few for the memories and such. Even though he's getting out, he still wanted to checl out a few of the local shops to go box diving..... for ? …… you guessed it !. Going through the boxes, it's refreshing to see an obvious labor of love come to such fruition. I'll likely keep a few of these, but this is the first one I chose.... a Kirby/ Giffen/ Jansen beauty from the swinging seventies. It will also remind me of some of the good natured (most of the time) back and forth in Comics General over the years. GOD BLESS..... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) 6 1 porcupine48, wormboy, mec3437 and 4 others reacted to this

androolx 100 posts Posted October 16 Hidden 35s have been pretty tough for me to find on eBay lately, and when I do find one, I usually end up bidding against at least one other person who spotted it. Recently, however, I used a BIN to get a lot which had these three 35s hidden in it. 8 jimjum12, wormboy, mec3437 and 5 others reacted to this

Carlucci54 42 posts Posted October 19 I'm new to this aspect of collecting, and don't know much about it or where to find information. I only stumbled on this thread by accident. I'd appreciate any references to good sources of information about variants. I do have a specific question, regarding Fantasy Masterpieces, vol. 2, which has the Silver Surfer reprints. I only just recently learned that there were price-box (?) variants -- rectangles and diamonds. It's clear browsing around eBay and other places that the diamond variants are less common than the rectangle. But are they really that much less common? It seems that they don't really command a premium, just a little harder to find. Is that accurate? Are the variants related to distribution, such as direct vs. newsstand? And are all of the Issue #14 diamond variants 50 cents rather than 75 cents? Thanks for any info.

Fabulous! Is the Invaders 19 available? Of course, the Red Sonja is great too but I’m working to complete my Invaders pv set one day. 1 NP_Gresham reacted to this

Cap_Nut 22 posts Posted November 3 Superb! I was fortunate to get this one at the newsstand in 1977. One day, maybe the Invaders will be a movie with these initial bad guys in it!
