THE 1ST NJ MEADOWLANDS COMIC BOOK EXPO-SUN, APR 15TH

34 posts in this topic

We're happy to announce that on April 15th, we will be running our first Meadowlands Comic Book Expo!

The location is:

The Holiday Inn Secaucus Meadowlands

300 Plaza Dr

Secaucus, NJ 07094

The hotel is minutes from both Route 17, the NJ Turnpike and the Lincoln Tunnel.

The show takes place in the second floor conference room area. We will have 2 rooms overflowing with comics from bargain books to CGC graded keys. Our dealer pool received the floor plan less than 2 hours ago and more than half the tables are already booked!

As anyone who has been to our events knows... we are are proud to host "comic book shows" that actually have comic book dealers!

Admission is only $2

Hours are 10-4

Free parking is a minute's walk away.

If you have friends or family coming along who are not into comics, there are tons of restaurants, shopping and a theater within walking distance.

I'll keep you posted as more info becomes available.

Seeya there!

JP

It's never too early to plan... if you need detailed driving directions, call the hotel's front desk at 201-348-2000.

Again, let us remind you... this is actually a comicon... not an autograph show masquerading as one!

Dealers confirmed so far include:

Gary Platt

Jim O'Brien

Silver Fox Comics

Mike Decarl

Bob Stevenson

Robbie C Comics

Dave's American Comics

Pug Productions

Mike Hanerfield

Johnny K

MFP Toys

Riverside Comics

We expect the show to be a total sellout once additional dealers at Clifton book this Sunday!

The auction lots vary from show to show. A handful of early Marvel SA books (1963-65) sold for an average of 25% of guide. A stack of low grade silver worth about $300-$350 sold for $60. A few box lots for well below market. A nice box of 100 Mad magazines that averaged VG and numbered mostly in the 100's sold for $50. Plus much more...

Past lots have included a handwritten letter with envelope from Steve Ditko for $150, a Captain Gallant giveaway variant not in the guide for $25, a page of Ayers art for $15 (yes $15!)... etc...

I never know what dealers will be giving me until the day of the show!
