I've seen other Batman issues with r notation about that's size.  Any idea what collection they came from?

My understanding is the book came out of an east coast collection. The owners name was D ick May if I recall correctly. It had quite a few Batmans in it. I don't know if there were other titles. I think the Batman 1 may have been bought 2nd hand. The later issues were in NM condition. I will post the 36 also from the collection later. Sadly I didn't believe the CBG ad on condition and didn't buy more. When I got the 36 and saw how nice it was I called to try and buy more but he had already sold them. I can't remember the dealers name.

Great idea for a collecting theme. I always like all these Catwoman covers when I see them.

This is the Batman 36 that came out of the same collection.  When I opened the package, I could barely believe the condition on the book.  One of my biggest regrets was not buying all the Batman's he had listed.

A real beauty!

does this copy have the year on the cover? I just see a "K" under the Batman logo.... Ive seen some Batmans that have the year written very similarly on the cover, either just the year "1943" or like this "1943-44" in ink, often under the date and issue.

No date on it. I only saw the Batman 1 and 36 from the collection. If I remember correctly the dealer had  Batman's from the 20s to the 40s
