Hello All,

We are releasing a Romita Artist's Edition limited version of 250 copies, each

with a bound in plate that has been signed by Romita and Stan Lee, as well as

with an original sketch by Romita. It also has a different cover featuring

Romita at his drawing board.

You can order it on the IDW on-line store. Copies are available for pick up at

the Wonder-Con (or you can just come by the booth and get one), or you can have

Tried to pick one up and the site said my billing and card details didn't match.

:frustrated:

Had a boardie pick one up for me.

Thanks, boardie!

Funny, I just get the 404 page not found error on IDWs site following that link.

The links were copied incorrectly.

Any examples of the Romita sketches on these books? Are they tiny doodles or actual drawings?

Hope this image comes through....this is an 11x17 page so that's a nice size drawing..the center square on the last row of images.

Scott wrote that the default is Spider-man and that there are very limited numbers of others (5-10?).

You have to write them and ask. You can't specify it on the order form (unless I missed it).

The images that JR drew (wish I new how to scale them down a bit):

Man those went pretty quick

I am actually a little surprised they lasted more than a couple of hours.

Double signed, sketched and limited to 250? It struck every single collector chord in my body and pushed most of the buttons too. lol

I will admit to weakness. I bought one within moments of Scott's note on comicart-l while in a meeting that I was running.

I'm not a huge Spider-man fan; I thought a guy as handsome as JR's PP, with brains to rival anyone in the Marvel Universe, and two hot girlfriends had too many blessings to complain all the time.

So, I didn't buy the first one though I have the others. That hurt my collecting gene and I do admire JR's work, but I could handle it. After all, I had Dave Stevens, Walt Simonson, and Wally Wood to comfort me.

Until, IDW (curse them!) came out with this edition. Sigh...

:)

Now, for Barry Smith's Red Nails!
