“Alien: Paradise Lost” is currently set for a May 30, 2017 release

Why do I get the feeling that the promotions for this movie will never end ?

Some what related

Paradise Lost is an epic poem in blank verse by the 17th-century English poet John Milton (1608–1674). The first version, published in 1667, consisted of ten books with over ten thousand lines of verse. A second edition followed in 1674, arranged into twelve books (in the manner of Virgil's Aeneid) with minor revisions throughout and a note on the versification.[1] It is considered by critics to be Milton's major work, and it helped solidify his reputation as one of the greatest English poets of his time.[2]

The poem concerns the Biblical story of the Fall of Man: the temptation of Adam and Eve by the fallen angel Satan and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden. Milton's purpose, stated in Book I, is to "justify the ways of God to men".

The important part ---> is to "justify the ways of God to men"

I think this book is way to deep for my reading but has anyone read the graphic novel ?

I read yesterday or the day before that the new Alien movie has been put on indefinite hold. This was announced by the director.

Looks like Ridley Scott has renamed the upcoming Prometheus sequel (the 2nd of the trilogy) to Alien: Covenant (from Alien: Lost Paradise). Filming will begin in February 2016 and may be released in May 2017.

Love the quote Ridley Scott says he found the subtext of Prometheus "a bit florid and grandiose"

gee, ridley you couldn't tell that while filming? I appreciate grandiose film making as much as the next dude, but you have to throw us some bones for gad sakes.

It's incredibly reassuring to know that Ridley is aware of that, although I would use the terms ham-fisted and nonsensical.

Is it worth the watch?
To me, yes. I can't speak for everyone, but it was a very well done docu on hrg's last few weeks on earth. They do show clips from docu's done earlier in his life were he was much more expressive and energetic (especially during the alien phase) and it's such a stark contrast to how he was during the filming of Dark Star (H.R. Giger's World) . :(

Not to be confused with John Carpenter's Dark Star. Didn't the writer of Alien work on that one? The alien in that one still haunts me. :ohnoez:

Yeah that confused me for a moment! Dan O'Bannon wrote and starred in Dark Star, and then later pretty much wrote a serious version called Alien.

Both films are about a small crew on a long deep space mission, cut off from the rest of humanity. In both films, they pick up a xenomorph which gets loose in the maintenance shafts. One crew member tries to track it down but is outmaneuvered. Both films end in a massively over-the-top explosion followed by a brief coda.

Love Dark Star, of course :)
