As much as I'm a fan, I'm not sure I'd like to see the whole "back from the dead" treatment for Ben Reilly. Maybe an "alternate universe" type story with him, though, maybe?

The whole death thing is overdone imo. I would have no problem if that final battle with the Green Goblin just put him in a coma for 15 years instead of turning him into a puddle of mush. I think it would be a much more dramatic return if he just woke up after 15 years instead of being brought back to life in some wacky inexplicable manner.

I think the Venom Annual '95 you have listed with none graded is actually the Venom Super Special (4 are graded)

It's part of that Planet of the Symbiotes 5 parter with the other Spiderman books.

* looks like the same thing with the other '95 Annuals you've listed.

Thank you! I was a bit confused about all the '95 annuals because none of them showed up on a Census search but the "Super Specials" show up in existing Registry sets. I will have to dig into that more... perhaps the web site where I drew the list from just labeled them differently. And if that's the case, I think that moves most, if not all, of them onto the "qualified" list...

Agreed. But unfortunately, they did make him a "puddle of mush". Everything you stated is why I'm not sure I could get behind Marvel bringing him back. I just don't see how it could be done without it being some huge, convoluted mess. I wish they'd went with the ending shown at the conclusion of the more recent "Clone Saga" mini series.

Corrected the "1995 Annuals" to be the "Super Specials", but the Venom Super Special is not part of an "ongoing title" set that I can find, so would it then be treated as a "one shot" and still not qualified for addition to the set, even though the other Super Specials are?

On the subject of "one shots" not being qualified for Registry sets per Gemma's reply, why then is there a Registry set specifically titled "X-Men One Shots", which consists of one shots? Is there still something I'm not understand about the Registry Set addition rules?

What this means is that you can't request a title that only has one issue in its series (and is a one-shot) or you can't request a set of titles where CGC has only graded one of the issues.

Does this mean that I can't request a Registry Set which only consists of a one shot, or that I can't included one shots in a larger set such as this one?

???

Clarification from Gemma:

It means that a set has to have more than one comic to be a set, so if it is a combination of related comics that is fine, but if it is only one comic and no others then it won't be created as a set. Is that clear? We have numerous sets that include one-shots within them, but a one-shot by itself cannot be a set.

And so, another edit...

And now to sort the raw copies I have of the various titles for grading, starting with those which either need another issue of the series graded or have no copies graded at all. Also, I need to finished taking pictures of my current Ben Reilly collection to edit into my first post.

I was planning to take pictures of my already graded comics to edit into my first post, but my digital camera's battery needs charged. So, instead I'll post scans of some raw comics I plan to have graded. All these to follow were purchased in a lot here on the boards. All these are solid 9.8 candidates, in my opinion. I've still got plenty of raw comics which still need sorted for CGC candidates. I'm hoping to make the Scarlet Spider #1 and #2 the first graded copies, as well as maybe the Funeral for an Octopus issues... :wishluck:
