Deleting an old sales post

I started a sales thread about a month ago and have an unsold book in the thread. The original post no longer gives me the option to delete the post and I don't want to enter a "reply" to close this thread and have it bump back to the front page.

 

Is there a way to delete or close an old sales thread without taking up front page space in the sales forum?

Not really as there is a limited timeline in which a post can be edited. It would be best to either post a new reply but change the title of the thread in that reply to include "CLOSED" or you can just leave it alone until it falls off the first page of the sales section.
