Sparkle City Comics is proud to offer the best early Archie run in recent memory. All of the Archie comics are from NEW original owner collections. The Archie #1 is from the original owner Colfax Collection (we are currently auctioning Captain America 5,10,18 and Archie #3 from this collection). The remaining Archie's are from a new original owner collection purchased near Olympia, Washington comprised of nearly 100 mostly high grade 1940s comics.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire beautiful high grade early Archie's at one time. If one was to win all the auctions, they would instantly have one of the best early Archie collections in existence. These books are going nowhere but up in value.

 

There are only 6 unrestored examples of ARCHIE #1 higher than the one offered here. 3 of those copies are probably $100K plus which means this is a rare opportunity to acquire a relatively affordable copy. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get any copy with the front cover appeal of this one for less than $100K. We will have scans available before the weekend. You will be amazed how beautiful this book is and how White the pages and back cover are!

 

Archie #3 is CGC 8.0 is one of only 4 individual copies of ANY Archie between issues #1 and #6 that have reached that grade plateau and has unreal gloss and page quality and killer cover appeal. This is the best copy in existence. The cover is simply stunning with amazing color strike and razor sharp corners. The back cover is Bone white.

 

Archie Comics #4 CGC 7.0 is the 2nd Highest Graded with just a single example a notch higher at 7.5. The next highest copy is ONLY graded at 4.5. High grade condition issues of this comic are next to impossible.

 

Archie Comics #5 CGC 7.0 is the 2nd Highest Graded with just a single example higher at 8.5. The next highest copy is ONLY graded at 5.0. High grade condition issues of this comic are next to impossible.

 

There are ONLY 7 unrestored copies of Archie #7. This example has the appeal of a solid midgrade with superior page quality. Only 3 CGC COPIES are higher! A tough but important Archie issue!
