I’ve just completed my Gal Gadot trifecta.  I had the SDCC one pressed for a better grade (9.6 to 9.8).

Might be a stupid question, but does pressing ever affect the signature? I assume the pressing processes is done without any moisture/steam (Like an iron), and just extreme weight?

On books with black spines, wouldn't the pressing make the white cracks worse?

I have pressed a number of books with signatures and art without any consequence to the signature or art to date but I am sure someone might have a horror story.  I do not hesitate to press.  I do not have an answer for your second question specifically.
