current turn around rates at CGC 80 80

I sent 4 books in 3 modern 1 standard.  They arrived on 9-16-19.  The standard shows graded and shipped, tracking number included.  The moderns were scheduled for grading but now back to received.  Can anybody advise?

Nope just a normal value CGC submission. The books were sitting at SFG before inexplicably going back to received.

What book?

I sent a book to CGC/CCS, received on the 19th.  The book was pressed at CCS and CGC received the book on the 30th.  Today (or yesterday) the CGC status changed from received to SFG, so it looks like the time it took to be graded express will be (or a little more) the 5 days listed on the site....i'll keep you posted.

Fair enough.

I'm curious why you don't just send them in one batch together?  Shipping from Canada to and especially from CGC is atrocious (costly), so I pile them all in one shipment together....

 A very nice early ASM , CCS received 8-16-19, to CGC 8-28-19 , STILL sitting received as of today. NO communication or movement for an EXPRESS submission.

 

I will be using another service moving forward I am pretty well done with this company.

Grading/Quality Control 10/2/19

Shipped 10/4/19

I was expecting it to sit at Grading/Quality Control for a longer period of time, but was pleasantly surprised.  Now, on to Newton Ring and scuffed case watch.

Have you tried calling them?

I wouldn't be using any other company to grade than CGC, it's pretty clear that the market has determined what graded books are worth more.  Everyone says, well I have no intention to sell - but the truth is everyone (or their beneficiaries) will have to sell at some point.

My book has been graded and I'll receive it by Tuesday!  Very happy with the grade too, bammo!

Well presently its a 10 day turn for grading, no newton rings , or SCS issues with their inner well and free grading notes. Also they respond to my emails, so seems like a feasible alternative
