Nowhere Men

I REALLY liked Nowhere Men. Lots of extra's jammed into the issue with the bios on the first couple pages and the magazine article in the back. It feels very well thought out. I liked the first issues because it jumped back and forth between time periods and didn't treat the reader like a complete insufficiently_thoughtful_person explaining everything. Gives you just enough to be interested but doesn't answer all the questions.

Also, visually it's well put together with the art / fonts / graphics. Looks like Eric is using the same people that do the lettering and logos for SAGA.

Loving all the science fiction stuff IMAGE has been pumping out lately. I haven't had a chance to check out Think Tank but if it's similar to this I'll have to check it out!

I'm loving it too,so I'm on board for the run.

Think Tank is one of the better books from this year. If you're not reading it you're missing out.

Yep, Think Tank is in my top 3 of this year such a great comic!

I know Ive said this a dozen times already but it just shocks me that it hasnt blown up yet. Low Print runs [#1 6,200], [#2 5,700] and is down right awesome.

Maybe I will buy a few TPBs and see if anyone on the boards wants to read them. Then just pass them around as people get done with them.

+1

Love Think Tank!

Wondering why it's not blown up either?

Haven't read Nowhere Men yet but pre-ordered a few.

It's my kinda book from the description.

Think Tank though... :cloud9:

Just read this book.

My thoughts...

Someone needs to figure out how to improve the previews of some of these books. Comeback and Nowhere Men previews had me not interested. However I picked up a few Comeback NYCC and liked the book so I decided to give this a shot. Once again the book was much better then I thought it would be. In my personal opinion it is no where near the level of Think Tank currently but it is only one issue....so I will check back in a few months.

The cover price at $2.99 is nice also

posted this elsewhere, but belongs in the official thread lol ...

i will admit that wherever i read the (sneek peek at the back of another image title, cant recall which) i was very unimpressed. In fact, i remember thinking to myself,

what a horrible pun on The Beatles, from the title of the book to the way one of the characters looked like John Lennon.

i was wrong. after word of mouth was good, i picked up #1 and enjoyed it. But i have to be honest, i cant see how Yoko isnt suing them. The character that looks like Lennon has his birthday listed as 10/9 (Lennons Birthday) and his parents names are Alfred & Julia (same name as Lennons Parents)

still have to read #2, but i think i'll like it as i liked #1

Looks like #1 is fetching up to $9.99 already, with a couple of sellers starting to ask for $20+ on eBay right now:

a friend of a friend who wasn't me told me this story about nowhere men.

My friend was on some pornography sites when he stumpled upon a user submitted amateur porn site. There was a girl and it had a link to her facebook, he tells me.

Once clicking on her facebook it said engaged. This friend of mine was intrigued no doubt so he clicked on the engaged persons name, hopeing it was a joke and maybe to a girl- only to find out her facebook fiance had a Nowhere Men banner on their facebook. That was off they must of thought, so they took out their copy of nowhere men and found out - the was the writer for nowhere men.

the pictures were added within the last two months, he tells me. Which could me that the writer of no where men is into some weird voyerism or whatever its called.

take from that what you will.
